The malfunctioning link between the units of this Lexus LS460 started when the owner lost one of his car keys and decided to seek help from an auto repair shop near his home. Without going into details I can say that we received this car in a disassembled state, without the ability to start the engine, after 11 months of trying to get the car back in working order. As you have probably already realized, of course this repair did not require such a long time, the reason was quite clear, when trying to add a key not certified, not original equipment was erased memory of control units. It took us about 4 days to get it back up and running. By the way, during the time the car was defective, the owner found his original lost key at home.
The conclusion of this story is not complicated – despite the apparent simplicity and availability of some repairs in the car is still not superfluous to spend a little of your time to study the issue and find a specialist who will not learn and practice on your car.
